Opioid Wellness / Resiliency Development

The SFM will open a funding opportunity to benefit First Responders in the State of Nebraska. These funds are part of the Opioid Prevention and Treatment Act funding. They will be used for Wellness/Resiliency Development Programs. For more information and an application please go to the Forms Page, then Opioid Wellness/Resiliency Development. The funding opportunity will open on April 15th and applications are due by April 30th.

Do you need to submit plans?

Click -> -> Electronic Plan Submission to submit NEW plans for review.

Click -> -> Electronic Addendum/Revision Form to change or add to plans already submitted.

Do you need to schedule an inspection?

Click -> -> MAPS to find your inspector by division (type of inspection) and county.

Completed Plan Reviews can be viewed under "Check My Submission Status".

Plans are listed under the "Completed" tab for 1 month after completion.

Plans Division

What We Do

The Plans Division provides thorough and accurate plan reviews that ensure buildings are safe and accessible for everyone in order to reduce the loss of life and property to fire. The Division carries out the statutory duty of enforcement of the state fire codes and the state accessibility guidelines. The state fire codes consist of approximately 100 documents as published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

Along with plan reviews, the Plans Division consults with architects, engineers, State Fire Marshal personnel, building contractors, other public agencies, and the general public to discuss, interpret, and answer questions about State Fire Marshal Regulations.
