Unless indicated otherwise, forms that require signatures and/or notarization must be mailed to the State Fire Marshal’s Office at 246 South 14th Street, Suite 1, Lincoln, NE 68508-1804. If these forms are emailed it will delay processing.

Testing is conducted via WebEx. For available dates and times, the prospective RME will be contacted via email once the application has been received and processed. No test date will be offered or set until all elements have been received and processed at the office.

The State Fire Marshal Agency is responsible for enforcing a variety of state laws as they pertain to the Agency's various programs. The Nebraska Legislature is the governmental body which introduces new state laws each year through the Legislative Bill process.
